“I’m always thinking about how I look and what I would change about my face,” the 33-year-old pop star told the magazine for its November cover story, revealing she frequents plastic surgery website RealSelf to explore her options.
“I’m f–king thinking about all the s–t that I could do and pull and stretch and morph on my face, all the time,” she confessed. “I have to just remind myself that maybe I can’t get too sucked into that.”
She used to get Botox, she said, but had to ditch the wrinkle-reducing injectables because they were getting in the way of her burgeoning acting career. Her audition tapes showed her eyebrows moving in unwanted directions.
The British musician has seven films on the way, including “The Moment” with Alexander Skarsgård and “100 Nights of Hero” starring Emma Corrin. She also worked on the soundtrack for Emerald Fennell’s “Wuthering Heights” remake, which hits theaters next February.
The candid comments come as Charli rides high on the success of her blockbuster “Brat” album, which dominated summer 2024 and spawned the viral “Brat summer” phenomenon.
She recently wrapped her sold-out Brat Arena Tour and married The 1975 drummer George Daniel in an intimate July ceremony at London’s Hackney Town Hall, followed by larger celebrations in Italy last month.
Despite her newfound megastardom, Charli maintains an unfiltered approach to fame and beauty standards.
“I hate this phrase, but what you see is what you get with me,” she told Vanity Fair. “People think it’s all some kind of performance, but it’s not.”
Recently, the “Brat” star made headlines during Paris Fashion Week when she appeared in a sheer peasant dress at the Business of Fashion gala. She also attended the Balenciaga and Saint Laurent shows.
And, just last weekend, the “Sympathy is a Knife” singer subtly threw shade at rumored nemesis Taylor Swift when she wore a Max’s Kansas City T-shirt for an appearance during musical guest Role Model’s set on last week’s episode of Saturday Night Live.
However, Charli declined to comment on “Actually Romantic,” Swift’s supposed diss track, in her interview with Vanity Fair.
Let’s be honest—no matter how stressful the day gets, a good viral video can instantly lift your mood. Whether it’s a funny pet doing something silly, a heartwarming moment between strangers, or a wild dance challenge, viral videos are what keep the internet fun and alive.
