Concertgoers did a double-take as the “Good Luck, Babe!” singer took the stage at Forest Hills Stadium in Queens, where she headlined four sold-out shows on her “Visions of Damsels and Other Dangerous Things” tour.
Roan, 27, launched the new ‘do against a medieval-inspired set, wearing high-cut leather snakeskin and latex ruffles styled by her go-to stylist Genesis Webb.
The Missouri native has never shied away from experimenting with beauty. Dramatic drag makeup is a signature of her aesthetic, and she has worn a prosthetic pig nose to a Grammy Awards afterparty and head-to-toe green body paint on stage at Governor’s Ball.
Still, this latest transformation is a surprising one because her red curls have become synonymous with her brand — so much so that they’re practically a co-star in her latest music video.
In the video for her new hit “The Subway,” Roan croons on a New York City fire escape, three stories of faux hair tumbling down to the street below. In another scene, she’s dragged down the street, her hair caught in the door of a taxi cab, making her signature color an integral part of the visual narrative..
Swapping them out for a waist-length chestnut mane marks a major reset.
The singer, who won best new artist at the 2025 Grammys, is set to play four more shows in the coming weeks, stopping first in her native Missouri before traveling to Pasadena, Calif.
And if her hair change is any hint, fans can expect more twists ahead before the tour wraps.
Let’s be honest—no matter how stressful the day gets, a good viral video can instantly lift your mood. Whether it’s a funny pet doing something silly, a heartwarming moment between strangers, or a wild dance challenge, viral videos are what keep the internet fun and alive.
