“I love starting with looks like this because they’re effortless and grounding,” Walsh said in a press release, calling this her own “version of classic style.”

“When the foundation is strong, everything else falls into place,” she added.

Walsh recommends styling this rich espresso-hued look with the Globe Boho Hoops for even more luxury. (Don’t be fooled, though: Every piece you see here is under $200.)

“I love ending with something that feels a little indulgent, but still very wearable,” she said. “Elevated, but never loud.”

Add a little edge with Quince’s Oversized Bomber Jacket. (At $250, it’s a great price for real leather.)

“Some of my favorite outfits come from pairing elements that feel a little unexpected together,” Walsh added in the release.

Who said your coat can’t be the star of your outfit? With winter raging on, Walsh has plenty of suggestions for upgrading your coziest looks — including putting a fresh spin on basic colors.

“Neutrals like this never feel boring when the proportions are right and the tailoring does the work,” she explained.
