“Never fails dawg,” Lamb wrote on the platform. “Just pay the man what you owe em. No need for the extra curricular.”
Lamb, 26, is entering his sixth season with the Cowboys and signed a four-year, $136 million extension in August last year.
His remarks came less than an hour after Parsons expressed a desire to leave Dallas after failing to come to terms on a new deal.
“Unfortunately I no longer want to be here,” Parsons, who is entering the final year of his rookie deal, wrote on social media. “I no longer want to be held to close door negotiations without my agent present. I no longer want shots taken at me for getting injured while laying it on the line for the organization our fans and my teammates… I have made a tough decision I no longer want to play for the Dallas Cowboys.”
The trade request came shortly after a report from The Athletic that alleged Parsons was considering “drastic measures” with no deal in sight.
The team reportedly thought it had an agreement after Parsons negotiated on his behalf with Cowboys owner Jerry Jones over multiple days in the spring.
Things began to fall apart when Parsons’ agent, David Mulugheta, reached out to negotiate some more, and the Cowboys refused to talk further and called on the star linebacker to honor the deal they thought was in place, per The Athletic’s report.
The drama between Parsons and the Cowboys comes a month after Jones called out the four-time Pro Bowler in a press conference for missing time due to an ankle injury last year.
“[If] we sign him, doesn’t mean we’re going to have him. He was hurt six games last year, seriously,” Jones said, although Parsons missed four games. “I remember signing a player for the highest paid at the position in the league and he got knocked out two-thirds of the year, Dak Prescott, so there’s a lot of things you can think about, just as the player does when you’re thinking about committing and guaranteeing money.
“Contracts are four, five years, okay? There’s a lot of water under the bridge if you step out there and do something in the first two or three. You can get hit by a car. Seriously.”
Parsons appeared in 13 games in 2024.
