She made the allegations during an X livestream on Monday, Sept. 22.
“The only reason why I’m still married is because somebody wants me to pay for their taxes,” Cardi B, 32, said during the stream.
“Y’all wanna know the tea? The only way I can get out of my marriage is if I pay for somebody else’s taxes, even though I pay for my own, and give them one of my properties,” she continued. “I’mma fight for that. This is not no love s–t. I’m not gonna stop living my life.”
Although the “WAP” rapper noted that she and Offset, real name Kiari Cephus, are “legally separated,” it’s as if the two are still together.
“On a contract, I’m practically still married, because somebody [wants to] hold me hostage if I don’t give them millions of dollars to get out of it,” she claimed.
The Post reached out to Offset’s rep for comment.
Cardi B and the Migos rapper first began dating in 2017, and they married later that same year.
The pair welcomed three children together during their messy on-again, off-again relationship, and the “I Like It” singer filed for divorce from Offset both in 2020 and 2024.
Earlier this month, Cardi B revealed that she is expecting a child with her current boyfriend, New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs.
She opened up about her and the NFL star’s pregnancy news during Monday’s livestream, and fired back at those who “make it seem like I got a hundred gazillion baby daddies.”
“I have three kids with one man that I married,” she said. “Yes, I’m having a baby with somebody else. So what? That happens, it’s life.”
The “Invasion of Privacy” artist then defended having a child with Diggs despite not yet finalizing her divorce from Offset.
“Let me tell you something – I did things the correct way the first time,” she continued. “I fell in love. I got two rings [on] my finger. I lasted seven years, seven years that I didn’t have to last with somebody. I lasted seven years in a marriage.”
“Stop saying, oh, but you’re still married,” Cardi B added. “No, I’m legally separated.”
In May, Offset filed an amended divorce response, asking for spousal support, per TMZ.
The outlet further reported that Offset requested joint custody of the former couple’s three kids: Kulture Kiari, 7, Wave Set, 4, and Blossom Belle, 1.
Cardi B, meanwhile, threw shade at her ex when asked about him during an interview with Billboard earlier this month.
“I tried,” the Grammy winner responded when asked if she could “envision a lasting friendship” with Offset. “Next question.”
