The security guard approached Cardi B with her phone while at an obstetrician’s office, and the woman claimed the “Up” rapper became upset because she thought the guard was trying to out her private visit.
Ellis denied on the stand using her phone to take pics of Cardi, further alleging, “After she heard me say her name, she turned back around and the first thing out of her mouth was … ‘Why the f–k you telling people that you see me?,’” according to Law and Crime.
“I tried to calm her down and assure her that I didn’t tell anyone that I seen her, and she was extremely upset,” she added.
Ellis claimed the “Bodak Yellow” rapper then threatened to get her fired, belittled her job, “body-shamed” her, called her “racial slurs” and spit on her.
The security guard alleged that Cardi at one point took a “swing” at her but did not land the punch.
However, Ellis claimed she eventually had to undergo plastic surgery for the cut she got on her face from the “I Like It” rapper’s inches-long fingernail. She is suing for assault and battery.
Page Six has reached out to Cardi’s rep for comment but did not immediately hear back.
The “Love & Hip Hop” alum was seated inside the courtroom as Ellis testified, sporting a short hairdo and a black blazer. She appeared composed during the trial, as she was surrounded by her lawyers.
Cardi has had legal issues due to her bad temper before. In October 2018, she had to turn herself in to police over another physical dispute she had at a New York strip club earlier that summer.
The “Bongos” rapper has also been sued for assault and battery after she struck a woman with a microphone during her performance in Las Vegas in 2023.
