Blue Jays’ Bo Bichette launches three-run blast for early Shohei Ohtani Game 7 World Series exit


Blue Jays second baseman Bo Bichette is continuing his red-hot postseason run.

Bichette, 27, gave Toronto a crucial early lead in Game 7 of the World Series on Saturday night in Toronto with a towering three-run home run to deep center field in the third inning off Dodgers two-way star Shohei Ohtani.

Through seven games this postseason, Bichette has put up an impressive slash line of .350/.458/.500 with six RBIs.

Ohtani, who opened Saturday’s winner-take-all contest on the mound, was taken out following the home run, throwing 2⅓ innings where he struck out three, walked two, and gave up three earned runs.

Dodgers lefty Justin Wrobleski came in relief for Ohtani, and was able to finish the inning unscathed.
