Billionaire Becca Bloom blasted as ‘Marie Antoinette of TikTok’
One influencer may have 4.7 million TikTok followers and a crockery set worth more than most people’s rent — but not everyone’s clinking champagne flutes to her success.
The American entrepreneur Becca Bloom is catching heat for what critics are calling “unethical” and “tone deaf” content, flaunting her fortune.

The backlash boiled over after Bloom posted a September 13 unboxing video — now at 14.8 million views — that showed her lounging in a sea of Hermès orange.
She gleefully revealed shirts, vests, purses, coats and more, quipping, “Gotta stay hydrated for the amount of cardio I’m going to do,” as she unzipped a pile of luxury goods.
Viewers were less than impressed. One blasted, “Spending 30 grand on a six-inch purse is diabolical. You could sell a rich person a dollar general bag if you put a big price tag on it.”
“Tone deaf and honestly, idk WTF else we need to revolutionise,” said another.
A third summed it up bluntly: “I could do so much more with that money.”
Some kept it cheeky. “I picked up some new sweatpants from Costco last week,” one user cracked.
Another sarcastically added, “I too am missing the blue jacket from Hermès, we have so much in common.”

And one commenter simply sighed: “Oh to be this Wealthy.”
And TikTok’s not done dragging Becca Bloom — and now the critiques are getting sharper.
This week, creator @1ilyp00h posted a takedown, declaring: “Becca Bloom’s account is weird and unnerving to me, not just because of the exorbitant wealth that she’s flaunting with the wealth disparity that exists in this country, besides that, she is just so uninspired with the way she uses her wealth.”
In her caption, she doubled down, writing: “There’s nothing interesting about [Bloom’s] life beyond her extreme wealth, which she spends in the most predictable, uninspired ways.”
Viewers chimed in with their own digs. “Boring is an understatement,” one scoffed, while another joked, “Let them UNBOX cake.”
And, of course, the nickname stuck: “The Marie Antoinette of TikTok.”
Another creator, Hana Horvath (@yourbrainonmoney), joined in on the discussion, noting in a recent video that Bloom “is just one of many creators that produce this kind of content.”
Horvath, who framed the clip around the rise of “RichTok” — where creators shamelessly flaunt their fortunes — warned the trend is “so dangerous” for impressionable viewers, since it “warps our baseline of what we think is normal.”
And normal is shifting fast.
Turns out it’s not just Gen Z dreaming of ring lights and brand deals — nearly 60% of middle-aged users say they’d happily ditch their day jobs to become full-time influencers, compared to just half of 20-somethings, as previously reported by The Post.
Even if they’re not ready to walk out on the boss, two-thirds of social media users admit they’d gladly cash a check to hawk products online, as per a recent study by IZEA Worldwide Inc.
Influencers are also 1.5 times more likely to be self-employed than casual posters — meaning more freedom to curate feeds instead of clocking in.
But the glamorous life isn’t always paying the bills. Nearly 6 in 10 influencers still work full-time, and just over half have ever been paid by a brand.

Still, the allure is undeniable. “This research underscores the seismic shift in career aspirations driven by the thriving creator economy,” IZEA CEO Ted Murphy said in a statement.
“Nearly half of young consumers are willing to leave traditional employment to pursue full-time influencer roles, demonstrating the allure and impact of this industry.”
Let’s be honest—no matter how stressful the day gets, a good viral video can instantly lift your mood. Whether it’s a funny pet doing something silly, a heartwarming moment between strangers, or a wild dance challenge, viral videos are what keep the internet fun and alive.
