Benny Blanco slammed for boasting about $200 blueberries



Benny Blanco is getting blasted for sharing a TikTok video of himself eating a $200 box of blueberries.

In the clip posted Friday, the music producer said he was sent the luxurious box of fruit, which came with each blueberry individually packed.

Blanco marveled at the “expensive blueberries,” saying they were “the biggest things [he’s] ever seen in the world.”

“It’s like a f–king meal,” he said as he tasted the blueberries. “They’re f–king huge. They’re delicious.”

“I think the box said they’re like $200,” he added. “That’s crazy.”

While Blanco clearly loved the blueberries, users slammed him in the comments section for being “tone-deaf” when it comes to others struggling to afford basic groceries in the current economy.

“Why do the rich get all the PR packages and stuff… 😢😢😢 also most people endorsing things are getting to be so tone deaf…. We are out here can’t pay for groceries anymore….,” one comment read.

“I really like this guy, but man, the rich are clearly not taxed enough,” another commenter wrote.

One user wrote, “It’s giving let them eat cake.”

“Meanwhile people can’t afford life, but here we are watching a rich dude eat $200 blueberries. Like how is this real life?” yet another disgruntled comment read.

However, some fans defended the music producer.

“Everyone hating on him because he’s rich and can afford $200 blueberries… go be as talented as him. He earned his success and money,” one user noted.

Another user wrote, “Damn, I’m early and getting some fire blueberry content. I love how much you enjoy food.”

Blanco’s reps didn’t immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

Although Blanco might enjoy the finer things in life when it comes to food, his fiancée, Selena Gomez, definitely has more down-to-earth tastes.

He surprised the Rare Beauty founder with a tortilla chip display and a bathtub full of queso dip for Valentine’s Day in February.
