‘Bachelor in Paradise’s Sean McLaughlin Strips Down For “Sensual” Makeout With ‘Golden Bachelor’s Senior Citizen Sexpot April Kirkwood: “Equal Parts Terrifying And Beautiful”
The Golden Bachelor‘s April Kirkwood and The Bachelorette‘s Sean McLaughlin didn’t officially win Bachelor in Paradise‘s “Birds of Paradise” Chemistry Test, but everyone in Bachelor Nation knows that their long-awaited age-gap make-out session is what really turned the heat up to 11 in Season 10, Episode 5.
After April made jaws drop by giving her rose to Jonathon Johnson in Episode 4 and sending three Golden Guys home, fans spent the week wondering if the 67-year-old and the 28-year-old would become romantically involved this week. Instead, Bachelor in Paradise‘s steamy age-gap make-out was between April and 28-year-old Sean, who got down and dirty during Episode 5’s creative chemistry challenge.

Here’s the deal: Host Jesse Palmer invited the boys of Paradise to design their own bird costumes, come up with “mating calls,” and choreograph mating dances for the ladies. If the gals saw a dance they liked, they were encouraged to partake, and whoever had the best chemistry on the dance floor would win special alone time in the BIP VIP Suite.
After the men slathered baby oil, strapped on beaks, got bird makeup done, and assembled costumes out of feathers, the show began. While most coupled-up men set out to attract the Paradise mate who offered them roses at last week’s ceremony, Sean dressed like a sexy peacock to impress more than just his Paradise date, Jill Chin.
Sean started slow by showing off his one sad dance move, but he kicked things up a notch by turning his back to the ladies, literally shaking his tail feathers, and letting his underwear fall to the ground in a NSFW move that had contestants howling.
“I’m not the best dancer. I’m very well aware of that. However, I am a good performer. I have some tricks up my sleeve,” Sean told cameras. After he tossed his briefs on HANNAH BROWN’S LAP, sexy senior April — who let Dale Moss take body shot off of her earlier — stood up wearing knee-high gold boots, sparkly tights, lime green feathers, and a black leotard to let Sean know she was down to smack beaks.
Sean told April to lie down, slipped a lime wedge into her mouth, kneeled over her — all while going commando, mind you! — and got to work. He grabbed the lime with his mouth, tossed it aside, then went back down for a smooch sesh that Paradise bartender Wells Adams called “sensual.”
As April kicked her leg up in delight, the ladies screamed, clapped, and dropped their jaws in awe. (Except for Jill, of course, who was watching her man kiss an older woman instead of her!)
After the two got up and shared a sweet smooch, Wells handed April Sean’s infamous black trunks and said, “I don’t know if medically it can be done, but you might be pregnant!” Thought the scream-worthy scenes were over? Think again! Before tucking Sean’s underwear into her top, April SMELLED THEM and said, “I love that man.”
Though Parisa and Brian technically won the challenge, in addition to Alexe and Andrew, Sean and April got a shoutout as one of the couples with the most chemistry in the mating circle.
“That was brave. That was creative. And more than anything, it was really weird,” Jesse told the group. “It was equal parts terrifying and beautiful,” Wells added. And Sean confirmed, “I’ll never forget it.”
When chatting with Decider ahead of Episode 5, Kirkwood opened up about her time with Sean, saying, “I adore him. I think he’s so cute, and hot, and well-groomed. I don’t know what he uses on his face to moisturize it. He’s just the typical yacht boy that every girl wants to marry. I don’t know if he’s a trust fund baby or whatever, but whatever it is, it’s working. And yeah, we have fun together.”
As for whether or not Sean ever got his underwear back, Bachelor Nation may never know…
