Angel Reese slaps clipboard out of coach’s hand in wild meltdown
Shame on the clipboard for not doing its job.

Reese indicated in a tweet that her frustration stemmed from the referees, although she avoided specifically naming the officials to avoid a fine.
She tallied a game-high 22 points and 15 rebounds to extend her WNBA record by collecting at least 15 rebounds in six straight games.
“Those **** were pissing me off😭 shoutout to Ann because she know it was the heat of the moment and she didn’t let me apologize because she knew! Not happening again tho🤦🏽♀️😭,” Reese tweeted.
Reese has not been happy with the referees lately and her outburst came with 29.9 seconds remaining and the teams tied at 77-77.
Crosby held out her clipboard and Reese smacked it to the floor without slowing down, while Crosby, — the team’s vice president of basketball operations, strength and conditioning — swiftly picked it up.
The Mystics scored on the ensuring possession to take the lead before Reese hit two game-tying free throws. However, Washington prevailed on a pair of Shakira Austin free throws with 2.1 seconds remaining.
Reese threw her hands up after the foul call in the final seconds which went against Elizabeth Williams while the pair contested the shot.
She ripped the referees after the game for blowing the whistle on that play. Reese committed five fouls, while Williams fouled out on that play.
“You just have to better,” Reese said. “Can’t let it come down one possession. Refs make calls that they know are not right and they’ll look back and know that wasn’t the right call. But we just have to box out and not give them an opportunity to even be able go up for another opportunity for free throws.”
Reese previously went off on the referees following the Sky’s (5-13) loss to the Lynx on Sunday, posting a photo of her being fouled — it’s unclear if the play resulted in a whistle — with the caption: “Diabolical.”
She also responded to a fan about a possible fine: “idgaf (I don’t give a f–k). DO BETTER. @WNBA.”
“It’s tough when you talk to officials, and I ask them, ‘Hey, we only shot two free throws. We’ve only been to the free-throw line twice up until the fourth quarter,’ and she tells me it’s not her job,” Reese said after Sunday’s loss. “So I know it’s frustrating because I know how hard we’re battling inside, and I think that we came down and fought as hard as we could with what we had.
“And obviously we know we can compete with the best, but that has to be fixed, and I don’t give a damn if I get fined, because that s–t cheap, and I am tired of this s–t, because I’ve been nice and I’ve been humble with it. But I am tired of this s–t.”
The rough ending marred an otherwise stellar showing from Reese, who notched her sixth straight double-double heading into Wednesday’s home game vs. Dallas.
“It wasn’t enough,” Reese said. “It came down to that rebound where (we) jumped up for it and I didn’t get that, so very frustrating for myself. I have to be better there. I just have to be better, as far as boxing out because it just wasn’t enough tonight.”
