“No, not necessarily,” he said, adding when pressed, “I don’t know what the future holds, but I don’t intend on losing.”

The ex-governor’s comments come with just 40 days out from the election and his independent bid for office failing to gain any momentum.

The latest poll, from Fox News, has the ex-gov. nearly 20 points behind the upstart socialist with just 29% of the vote, while the Queens lawmaker Zohran Mamdani nabbed 47%.

The survey is just the latest since the embarrassing upset in the Democratic primary when the young DSA assemblyman wiped the floor with the elder politician, who was attempting to mount a comeback after resigning in disgrace from governor in 2021.

Cuomo also confided to the Times that he spoke to Adams for top advisor Frank Carone “several weeks ago.”

Carone is the head of the mayor long-shot re-election bid.

But Adams himself?

Cuo admits the two have exchanged words in “quite a while” — with no love lost between the two floundering pols.
