Andre Cisco impressing at Jets camp after signing one-year deal
Observations from the Jets’ training camp practice on Friday.
Andre Rising
Safety Andre Cisco picked off Tyrod Taylor in the end zone on the final play of practice after the offense marched down the field during a two-minute drill. Cisco, who has eight career interceptions and signed a one-year deal with the Jets, also broke up a pass intended for tight end Mason Taylor in another team drill.

Sophomore Slump
Running back Braelon Allen, who impressed last year as rookie and is trying to carve out an expanded role behind Breece Hall, had an ugly drop on a short pass from Taylor as he cut across the field.
Caught My Eye
The Jets flashed their rushing potential even without pads, as Hall and Allen both broke free for would-be touchdowns at different points. It’s difficult to gauge how that will translate to practices later in camp, but for an offensive line with two young tackles and a competition at center, it’s certainly a step in the right direction. “I thought they did a hell of a job,” head coach Aaron Glenn said.

Injury Report
One day after dislocating a toe on his right foot, Justin Fields stretched and watched practice with his helmet on. He’s day-to-day and expected back before Week 1. … Edge rusher Jermaine Johnson, rehabbing from a torn Achilles, wrote in an X post Friday that he was “cleared” by his medical team and surgeon in Los Angeles. It’s unclear when he’ll return to practice, but Glenn said Thursday the Jets have a plan and still are optimistic about his Week 1 availability.
