The “Monday Night Football” broadcast picked up St. Brown’s hot mic, capturing the NSFW exclamation for the millions of fans watching at home.
“I run this s–t,” the three-time Pro Bowler shouted while adding a racial slur.
St. Brown, 25, had just corralled a momentum-shifting 18-yard touchdown pass from Jared Goff, evening the score at 21-21 with 5:13 left in the third quarter.
Joining “SportsCenter”’s Scott Van Pelt on the field after the hard-fought victory, St. Brown explained that his fired-up celebration stemmed from the heat of the moment — but acknowledged that he might have gone a little over the top.
Warning: Graphic Language
“Excuse my profanity,” he joked with Van Pelt.
“I was just excited, man. I think it was a big play in the game, a play that we needed at that time and moment. Big touchdown. I was just full of emotions and got a little excited.”
The Lions pulled ahead in the fourth quarter and held a 31-24 lead with under two minutes to play.
On fourth-and-2, Goff located St. Brown down the field for a 20-yard pass that extended the drive — and led to another touchdown that put the game out of reach.
