The humanitarian, 47, stepped out in a one-shouldered Badgley Mischka midi dress covered in silver sequins and fringe. The disco-inspired design originally retailed for $440 and is currently on sale for $330, making it a surprisingly affordable choice by A-lister standards.
She wore her voluminous brunette hair in waves and accessorized with silver heeled sandals and a mini metallic clutch.
George, meanwhile, joined his wife wearing a navy blazer and slacks with a black polo.
The Oscar winner, 64, had been living in NYC while performing in a limited run as journalist Edward R. Murrow in the Broadway show “Good Night, And Good Luck.” While the seasoned star earned himself a Tony nomination for his on-stage work, the dark brown dye job he underwent for the role wasn’t exactly a hit.
Clooney, who debuted his new hair in March, complained on multiple occasions about the makeover and revealed that Amal was not a fan, either.
“My wife is going to hate it because nothing makes you look older than when an older guy dyes his hair,” Clooney admitted to the New York Times in February before the transformation.
He predicted that the couple’s 7-year-old twins, Alexander and Ella, would “just laugh at me nonstop,” too.
It appears he didn’t need to follow through on his vow to shave his head if the gray didn’t come back in time for June’s Tony Awards; on the big night, only traces of his darker ‘do remained.
Amal accompanied her husband to the awards show, wearing a stunning Tamara Ralph Couture gown completely covered in pearls.
