Alison Brie Confirms That Husband Dave Franco Has Been “Ghosting” Andy Cohen Since 2016

Alison Brie might be a frequent guest on Watch What Happens Live, but her husband Dave Franco has been “ghosting” the Andy Cohen-led talk show for years.

For the first time, the married couple appeared in the Bravo Clubhouse together for Tuesday night’s (Aug. 5) episode of Watch What Happens Live, where Cohen put Franco on blast for dodging his interview requests.

“Andy, you make me sweat,” Franco joked, to which Cohen replied, “That’s so ironic because you’re so open.”

Moments earlier, Franco revealed that Brie’s “tits” were his favorite body parts of hers. Still, Brie insisted that her husband is a “shy boy at heart.”

“Is that why you’ve been ghosting us since 2016?” Cohen asked Franco, whose wife swiftly confirmed as much.

“Yes,” Brie chimed in, while Franco added, “Honestly, that is the true answer.”

Happy to finally have his answer, Cohen said, “You know that your wife, who you just send like a wolf to the slaughter, is here all the time. And every time I go, ‘Boy, Dave hates us.’”

Franco once again insisted that he’s a “shy guy,” while Cohen reminded him, “You’re really not. You show your butt in the movie,” referring to his and Brie’s new film Together.

The lovebirds first met at Mardi Gras in New Orleans in 2011, before getting engaged in 2015 and tying the knot in 2017. They’ve each gone on to have illustrious careers, with Brie holding roles in Mad Men and Community, and Franco starring in Neighbors and 21 Jump Street.

During their time on WWHL, Franco also reacted to fans wanting him to play Luigi Mangione—the hunky man accused of murdering UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson—in a biopic.

“How do I answer this? No one has approached me about it yet. I’ll say that,” Franco told Cohen. “This is something that more people in my life reached out about this exact thing more than anything else that has ever happened. Let’s just say, I’m open if it’s the right people.”

Watch What Happens Live airs Sunday through Thursday at 10 p.m. ET on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
