‘Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials’ Cast Guide: Helena Bonham Carter, Martin Freeman And More Star In Netflix’s Latest Whodunnit

An intriguing new mystery has dropped on Netflix.

Adapted from Agatha Christie‘s novel The Seven Dials Mystery, Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials follows Lady Eileen “Bundle” Brent, a young woman hailing from a family that’s faced more than its own fair share of tragedy. Bundle and her mother, Lady Caterham, are equally as eccentric and independent, making them an entertaining pair to watch, but their lives are shaken up even more when they find themselves in the midst of a fatal conspiracy.

The three-part series premiered on Netflix Thursday, Jan. 15. And yes, it really is just three episodes. But the mystery at the center of Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials is intriguing enough, it’ll leave murder mystery fans wanting more.

Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials features an all-star cast of greats, including Mia McKenna-Bruce, Helena Bonham Carter and Martin Freeman. Keep reading to check out everything we know about this star-studded cast.

1. Mia McKenna-Bruce as Lady Eileen “Bundle” Brent

   Mia McKenna-Bruce (How To Have Sex, The Witcher) leads the series as Lady Eileen “Bundle” Brendt, an inquisitive young woman who finds herself in the middle of a massive conspiracy when she loses the man she loves. Bundle isn’t sure who she can trust anymore as she finds herself being tailed across London as she tries to figure out why the people closest to her keep dying.

2. Helena Bonham Carter as Lady Caterham

   The only family Eileen has left is her mother, Lady Caterham, played by the incomparable Helena Bonham Carter (Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, Fight Club). It’s clear, even in the series’ three hour-long episodes, that Eileen’s family has fallen on hard times after losing her father and her brother, forcing them to make do with their dwindling staff and a country home that they rent out. Carter plays the clever and reclusive Lady Caterham perfectly at McKenna-Bruce’s side.

3. Martin Freeman as Superintendent Battle

   Martin Freeman (The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, Black Panther) stars as Superintendent Battle, the investigator looking into Gerry Wade’s untimely death. At first, viewers only get a glimpse of the Marvel actor as he’s tailing Eileen through London. But Battle soon realizes he’s getting a lot more than he bargained for when he finally sits down with the young lady he once believed could be the prime suspect in the case.

4. Corey Mylchreest as Gerry Wade

   Corey Mylchreest has become one of Netflix’s biggest heartthrobs who, unfortunately, always meets an untimely fate (see My Oxford Year and Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story). The actor only makes a brief appearance in Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials Episode 1 as Eileen’s love interest, Gerry Wade. Described by his friends as “the best of us,” poor Gerry dies an untimely death the night of the party, just days before he was possibly planning on proposing to Bundle.

5. Edward Bluemel as Jimmy Thesiger

   Edward Bluemel, who some may recognize from My Lady Jane, plays Jimmy Thesiger, one of Eileen’s many friends who was there the evening of the party when Gerry died. Thesiger is a bit of a clueless playboy, but he happens to be one of the last allies Eileen has left in London as she investigates this fatal mystery.

6. Nabhaan Rizwan as Ronnie Devereux

   Nabhaan Rizwan (Station Eleven, Informer) stars as Ronnie Devereux, one of Eileen’s troublemaking friends. Ronnie worked with Gerry in the Foreign Department and was the one who planted the prank that took a deadly turn.
