Thirty-one years after his first practice as a rookie wearing No. 31 for the New York Jets, Aaron Glenn was Sleepless in Florham Park, waiting excitedly to tackle head-on what has turned into a Mission: Impossible nightmare for others, but for him has been his dream job since his playing days ended in 2008.

It won’t happen overnight, but Glenn was an eyewitness to the resurrection blueprint under Bill Parcells as a player and more recently under Dan Campbell as a coach with the Lions, and he vows to the long-suffering Jets fan base that it will happen.

And whenever it does, and of course a Super Bowl is the eventual goal, the makeover will result in a Jets team that is virtually unrecognizable to Jets fans.
