After the game, Brown posted a Bible verse, Mark 6:11, that contains potential cryptic messages for his teammates.

“If you’re not welcomed, not listened to, quietly withdraw,” the bible passage reads. “Don’t make a scene. Shrug your shoulders and be on your way.”

It is possible that Brown, who is a known reader specifically on the sidelines of games to help keep his focus, was just casually doing some reading, but the message is certainly worth noting, given the offense’s performance.

In 2024, Brown said he fights problems by reading the Bible and specifically referenced other biblical verses.

The Eagles, while posting an undefeated record and defeating the Buccaneers 31-25, have struggled at time offensively, and did not complete a pass in the second half on Sunday.

Brown had two receptions for 7 yards on Sunday as the Eagles continue to utilize a run-first approach.

Philadelphia is second in the league in team rushing attempts per game behind only the Bills, the only other undefeated team in the NFL.

Meanwhile, the Eagles are passing the ball just 25.3 times per game, the least in the league.

Brown spoke out in some slight discontent after their Week 1 win over the Cowboys, and there were some trade rumors in the offseason.

“You know, that’s not something I can control,” Brown said after Week 1 when asked about his target share. “What I can control is my effort for when the ball does come my way.”

The Eagles are coming off a Super Bowl win over the Chiefs and are in first place in the NFC East as they prepare for Broncos.
