Where Is ‘Emily in Paris’ Season 5 Filmed?
Emily in Paris returned with a head-spinning new season that took Emily Cooper (Lily Collins) from Rome to Paris and back again (with a quick stopover in America) as she once again found herself at a crossroad.
Season 5 of the hit Netflix show found our glamorous protagonist caught between the life she built for herself in Paris or a promising future in Italy where she’s leading Agence Grateau’s new Rome office and, eventually, offered a new job helping her boyfriend Marcello Muratori (Eugenio Franceschini) run his company.

This globe-trotting season featured many ups and downs for Emily, Sylvie (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu), Mindy (Ashley Park) and more, but it also set the stage for some dramatic changes to come in Season 6. Not only do Emily and Marcello break up, but Season 5 ends on a massive cliffhanger when Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) invites Emily to join him in Greece. Does this mean Season 6 will be Emily in Greece instead?
The show has yet to be renewed for Season 6. But series creator Darren Starr confirmed to DECIDER he has a couple of things in mind for the new season if it does get renewed, including possibly sending Emily and the crew to America – for real, this time.
Emily in Paris has become just as known for its romantic vistas as it is for Emily’s kooky outfits. So, where was Emily in Paris Season 5 filmed?
Where was Emily in Paris filmed?

Emily in Paris Season 5 filmed on location in Rome and Paris, which means fans can take a tour of this picturesque season’s most beautiful spots, some of which are already popular tourist destinations, according to Netflix’s Tudum.
Season 5 kicks off with a glimpse at Emily’s new apartment, which is reportedly located at Piazza Costaguti. Later in the episode, Emily and Marcello also drive to the Italian countryside of San Polo dei Cavalieri where Emily makes a rather embarrassing impression while foraging for truffles with his family.
Speaking of Marcello, fans may be disappointed to hear his idyllic hometown of Solitano does not actually exist. Those scenes were filmed in the village of Ostia Antica, an ancient city in Rome.
Emily does get to enjoy some sightseeing in Rome, as well. Marcello takes her to the Aventine Keyhole, which offers a view of both the Vatican City and Malta, while standing in Italy. He also takes her to visit the Mercati di Traiano, Rome’s first shopping mall.
Some of the season’s most delightful scenes take place at the convent where Luc (Bruno Gouery) is staying to save money. Luc, of course, makes himself comfortable amongst the nuns, who enforce a rather strict curfew and don’t take kindly to his nudity. But Tudum notes the convent scenes were actually filmed at a private villa in the Aventino area of Rome.

When Emily eventually returns to Paris, she makes sure to hit some of her favorite spots, including her old apartment 1 Place de l’Estrapade and the Boulangerie Moderne, which is in Place de l’Estrapade.
Season 5 also brought many changes to Mindy’s career, but she is still continuing her residency at the Crazy Horse Paris, which is an actual cabaret bar located at 12 Avenue George V.
Emily and Gabriel later share a bittersweet goodbye when they met at the Gare de Lyon Train Station for a quick lunch at Le Train Bleu, a restaurant inside of the train station.
A trip to Venice would not be the same without a ride down the Grand Canal. Collins revealed to Tudum filming in Venice required some more logistical planning. “The absence of cars and the need to travel by boat everywhere is incredibly romantic, but also requires a lot of coordination,” she said. “On a show like this, you go to work on a boat, film on a boat, go home on a boat, and even transfer wardrobe by boat.”
Other filming locations in Venice include the Ponte Minich, the St. Regis hotel in Venice, Rio Marin and the Basilica dei Santi Giovanni e Paolo.
Emily in Paris Season 5 is streaming now in its entirety on Netflix.
