Micah Parsons goes after Jerry Jones with Cowboys flopping

Micah Parsons didn’t mince any words about Jerry Jones.

The Packers’ star edge rusher accused the Cowboys owner of having “slandered my name to Cowboys media and national media for months” in a scathing X post just over four months after the blockbuster trade — which sent him from Dallas to the Packers — that followed contract drama.

“Y’all want me to feel bad?” Parsons wrote in his post, before accusing Jones of slandering his name. “… So I do think I can react to comment if I want to!”

While it’s unclear exactly what prompted Parsons to weigh in with his thoughts, he posted a pair of Cowboys-related X posts Thursday.

First, he commented on a post sharing the low PFF grades of Packers cornerback Trevon Diggs — claimed off waivers from the Cowboys earlier this week — and calling him “the worst corner in the league right now.”

“I feel like what point is there in trying to publicly disrespect someone?” Parsons wrote. “He’s not representing the star anymore, just give the man a farewell and wish him the best. I don’t know why everything has to be negative every time a break-up happens! He’s in a better situation rn, trust me! Bro’s gonna be great again!”

Then, he replied with eight tears of joy emojis to a picture of Cowboys defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus at his press conference Thursday, where he said “things changed for defense when they lost an All-Pro pass rusher who can win quick” — referencing the Parsons deal that unfolded just before the regular season began.

Just an hour after his post regarding Eberflus’ comment, Parsons tossed a jab toward Jones.

Parsons was traded to Green Bay in exchange for two first-round picks (one in 2026, another in 2027) and three-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Kenny Clark, and he ended up recording 12.5 sacks before tearing his ACL in Week 15.

He also signed a four-year, $188 million extension following the deal.

The Cowboys are 7-8-1 heading into a Week 18 clash with the Giants and will miss the postseason, while the Packers (9-6-1) will enter the playoffs as a wild card team.

In the weeks leading up to the blockbuster, negotiations between the Cowboys and Parsons turned a blend of stale and sour — with Parsons requesting a trade in August and Jones insisting publicly that they wouldn’t trade the 26-year-old.
