But these days, her top tip is “diversifying your fitness portfolio” to include a range of activities — from treadmill to bike to beyond.
“One of the most common mistakes is that you think fitness looks one way,” the multihyphenate, who recently teamed up with Scotch-Brite, tells Page Six Style. “Your body is good enough; we want to praise the progress.”
After all when she’s not busy teaching, appearing on “Today” or hosting for the Brooklyn Nets, Love’s squeezing in a sweat however she can — even if that just means scrubbing her apartment.
“While it can be tedious to do tasks such as cleaning or organizing, they actually have health benefits,” she says. “It does count as being active, because you’re not at a resting heart rate when you’re cleaning.”
Below, Love dishes on the staples she swears by at the gym, from her secret to squeaky clean equipment to the sweat-proof makeup she wears during classes.

“I love Bobbi Brown. One thing that I do live by is a great brush. I don’t think she’s ever talked about her brushes. You have an expectation of something being good, but then when it outperforms good, you’re like, ‘This is impressive.’”

“This is what I use in terms of a little bit of blush. Once you start sweating, you start getting the streaks on your face, so this one is more of a cream base. I love this.”

“I wear this on the bike. It stays on. Granted, we have two fans in the ceiling for most of our classes, but we do sweat a lot even though you can’t see it … honey, in places you can’t see! This one is a highlighter; it’s a great shine to pull out the nose and pull out the cheekbones on camera.”

“It’s stylish, and I like it so much. With people in fitness and wellness, you need to be able to shoot content. I use my phone a ton, so I carry this because it’s so slim and it goes in the side pocket of my bag. It’s always there. I have a couple of them.”

“It’s great with scrubbing your mats, whether it’s cycling and you’re getting that sweaty puddle or it’s hot yoga. I usually scrub my mats probably every three months and then let them air dry. I think it’s very much something that we forget in terms of cleaning our equipment. I [also] hope people don’t forget to clean their weights. Make sure you’re taking a moment to take the non-scratch brush to clean your equipment or wipe it down, even though it’s your sweat. It’s really nice to clean those spaces just like you would clean any other space.”

“You want to make sure your lips can absorb the moisture and all of those good things like the vitamin E, but you also don’t want to put on a layer of protection where nothing can get out. So I found Summer Fridays. This is really helpful and I do wear this on the bike. I put on a little bit of lip liner and then I put this on.”
