The wholesome holiday happy snaps showed Giddey and his new partner wearing matching pajamas and Ugg boots, and having a cuddle with their pets with Christmas decorations in the background.

Giddey’s girlfriend is Alyssa Paranteau, and she also shared a photo to her Instagram stories of the couple having a cuddle in front of Christmas stocking with their names on them.

They were all smiles in the photo, which was accompanied by a Christmas tree and love heart emoji.

Giddey and Paranteau follow each other on social media but haven’t yet posted photos of each other to their Instagram profiles.

This reveal comes nearly two years after Giddey was accused of an alleged improper relationship with an underage girl during his time with the Thunder.

Newport Beach (Calif.) police said it would not pursue chargers since it could “not corroborate any criminal activity” related to Giddey, and the NBA also closed its investigation into the topic last May.

The relationship news is a happy end to 2025 for Giddey, who ended the 2024-25 NBA season in career best form with the Bulls to set up a monster payday for the 23-year-old.

Giddey was rewarded for his form with a four-year contract extension at the Bulls worth $25 million per season.

The new contract put Giddey on par with fellow Aussie basketball young gun Dyson Daniels, who also signed a $100 million contract extension after winning the NBA’s Most Improved Player award with the Atlanta Hawks.

The young duo are two of Australia’s highest paid athletes behind only Australian LIV golfer Cam Smith, McLaren F1 driver Oscar Piastri and NFL Super Bowl winner Jordan Mailata.

Giddey has been in solid form this season and was an early candidate for the Most Improved Player award after a red-hot start to his campaign with the Bulls, continuing his form from the end of last season.

He notched a triple double in Chicago’s 126-123 win over Atlanta last week, recording 19 points, 15 assists and 11 rebounds.

Giddey has seven triple-doubles this season, second only to Denver Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic, and is already 22nd on the all-time list with 25 career triple-doubles after becoming the youngest player in NBA history to achieve the feat as a teenager.

Last month, Giddey had an altercation with a spectator sitting in the front row at Chicago’s game against the Charlotte Hornets.

Giddey could be seen taking umbrage to something the fan said; needing to be restrained by a referee as his teammates quickly came to his aid. The fan was promptly escorted out of the arena.

The fifth-year pro could potentially miss time after leaving Monday’s home loss to the Timberwolves with a left hamstring injury.

Let’s be honest—no matter how stressful the day gets, a good viral video can instantly lift your mood. Whether it’s a funny pet doing something silly, a heartwarming moment between strangers, or a wild dance challenge, viral videos are what keep the internet fun and alive.
