Zohran’s radical transition team: Letters

The Issue: Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani picks radicals for many spots on his transition team.
Is anyone actually surprised Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani appointed Mysonne Linen, a convicted robber, to advise him on criminal justice (“Crime & government,” Dec. 9)?
Surely you can’t be surprised when he recently gave Zakiyah Shaakir-Ansari, a public supporter of late cop-murderer Joanne Chesimard, the task of advising him on education?

In a normal society, these positions would be given to candidates with proven experience and common sense. To Mamdani’s discredit, he did promise this and by all accounts is well on the way to keeping said promises.

Why do we need Rikers Island? It should be closed immediately and the rapists, killers and robbers who are currently incarcerated there should be sent to City Hall to advise the incoming mayor.

I thought Mamdani was absolutely insane to appoint Linen as a “criminal justice system” adviser given his criminal history.
However, upon reflection, perhaps Mamdani subscribes to the proverb, “Set a thief to catch a thief.” If so, Linen certainly has the credentials from that perspective.

Instead of giving children an education to help them grow within our society, Mamdani seeks to reshape their thinking and turn them into activists (“Radical school advisor outrage,” Dec. 7).
Having education policy guided by people like Shaakir-Ansari, who have no place teaching our children, puts children’s futures at stake.
We can’t sit back and let this generation slip by. Anyone with young children should head for the suburbs or other states if they can. For those who can’t, but want to get out, start a GoFundMe page.

In Mamdani’s New York City, criminal justice will mean making criminals happy by not putting them in jail.
Armed robbery will no longer be a felony. It isn’t like anyone ever got killed or injured in an armed robbery. Oh wait, they have!
The sad part is that when Mamdani’s voters start becoming crime victims in large numbers, they still won’t connect the dots.

Linen being appointed to advise Mamdani on the criminal-justice system is an example of exactly what I, and thousands of others, have said will happen since Mandami won the Democratic primary.
I’ve seen Mamdani and Mayor Adams describe New York City as a “sanctuary city.” While my wife and I recently left the city for medical reasons, we still consider ourselves New Yorkers, and neither of us recall voting for that title when we lived there.
Now we have criminals seeking to have a hand in governing.

Only The Post properly covers the impending tragedy coming with the next mayor and his handpicked administration.
A thoughtful mayor must select experienced people to head his committees, which Mamdani has not done. The coming consequences will be irreversible. The crime, economic disaster, antisemitism and runaway progressiveness will take a decade to undue. I weep for the future of NYC.

Zohran Mamdani does not care about the safety of New Yorkers and is thumbing his nose at law and order with his transition team. He’s a radical socialist and terrorist supporter who hates law enforcement and supports criminals.
President Trump should withhold all funding from New York City.

You don’t have to look much further than Linen to see what Mamdani’s administration will look like. Many will most likely be social activists from the communities who got him elected.
Expect to see nothing less than a radical agenda packed with policies of defiance.
