California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s bizarre AI-generated response to The Post’s coverage of his “testicle-crushing” pose during an interview last week has spectacularly backfired.

The internet, especially conservatives, had a field day with Newsom’s attempt to milk the story, sharing hilarious yoga-themed memes inspired by the California governor’s post.

“Gavin is really going to look back and regret this one,” the Monterey County Republican Party captioned an X post that included a video of Newsom, donning a man bun, instructing a yoga class full of prominent Democrats.

Another parody video shows Newsom, striking a yoga pose resembling Dwi Pada Sirsasana, lifting off the chair on stage at The New York Times Dealbook Summit and landing in the ocean.

Newsom posted the doctored yoga pose photo to his X account on Friday with the caption: “Democracy requires flexibility.”

“They … posted this?” wrote an account representing pollster Mark Mitchell, one in a flood of reactions to the bold post by Newsom’s press office, which has frequently needled President Trump and other Republicans by parroting the president’s writing habits.
