Things are starting to make sense for David Byrne fans.

After a brief hiatus, the former Talking Heads frontman has seemingly been everywhere. A new single, Gov Ball appearance and “Psycho Killer” music video put the off-kilter Rock Hall of Famer back in the limelight.

And, for the icing on the cake, the 73-year-old announced he’ll be taking his new album “Who Is The Sky?” to theaters, auditoriums, centers for the arts and music halls all over the U.S. and Canada from September through December.

That includes seven huge New York gigs.

To get things underway, he’ll take “Who Is The Sky?” — his ninth solo studio album — to Schenectady’s Proctors Theatre on Sunday, Sept. 21. After that, the avant-garde ’80s icon hits Syracuse’s Landmark Theatre on Tuesday, Sept. 23 and Buffalo’s Shea’s Performing Arts Center on Thursday, Sept. 25.

Finally, the Grammy winner closes his NY run with four shows at Manhattan’s Radio City Music Hall on Tuesday, Sept. 30, Wednesday, Oct. 1, Friday, Oct. 10 and Saturday, Oct. 11.

Each concert will feature a 13-member backing band made up of musicians, singers and dancers, some of whom were part of his ‘American Utopia’ ensemble.

“The tour concept is unlike anything I’ve done before,” Byrne shared via Instagram. “We’ll keep the mobility that was a key element of the American Utopia tour and Broadway show— but instead of the chain… we will have locations. You’ll just have to come and experience what that involves.”

David Byrne new music

On Sept. 5, Byrne’ ninth solo album “Who Is The Sky?” officially becomes part of his legendary canon.

Ahead of the record’s release, he unveiled the lead single “Everybody Laughs.” Clocking in at almost four minutes, the track is a joyous, almost tropical tune. Complete with Byrne’s trademark staccato vocals and Ghost Train Orchestra’s jaunty strings that are a bit reminiscent of George Michael’s “Freedom,” the song fits squarely in Byrne’s unimpeachable back catalog.
