After repeated commands for the strikers to remove themselves from blocking the doorway, cops arrested 12 people — 6 men, and 6 women — for disorderly conduct, according to cops and sources.

The union escalated its indefinite strike on Friday to more than 120 stores and 85 cities, demanding higher pay and staffing levels at the coffee chain.

“Union baristas are taking action to remind Starbucks executives that wherever Starbucks is, baristas’ picket lines will be there too until the company finalizes a fair contract and ends its union busting,” Starbucks Workers United posted on X.

The walkout, set to be the longest strike in Starbucks’ history, began on its Red Cup Day on Nov. 13.

Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani and Sen. Bernie Sanders joined the striking workers in Brooklyn on Monday.

“Because all of us are united in the belief that we must build in New York where every worker can live a life of decency,” Mamdani said from a picket line outside a Gowanus Starbucks.

“We must build a New York where our words do not ring hollow,” he said. “As we say that this is a union town, and we must build a New York where the workers who power it are able to afford to live in it.”

The show of solidarity came as Mayor Eric Adams announced the city landed a record-breaking worker protection settlement for 15,000 Starbucks employees who were illegally denied predictable schedules.

The settlement will give those workers $50 for each week worked from July 4, 2021, to July 7, 2024.

Starbucks, which has more than 17,000 coffeehouses in the US, said 99% of its stores in the country remain open with minimal disruption.

An investigation into the incident at Thursday’s picket line remains ongoing, cops said.
