Parker, an Oskaloosa High School student who placed in last year’s high school state wrestling tournament, was charged with third-degree sexual assault and was later released on a $10,000 bond.

He is scheduled to appear for a preliminary court hearing on Dec. 12.

The Oskaloosa School District said it is aware of the allegations and is cooperating with law enforcement.

“To our understanding, the alleged incident did not take place on school property,” the district said in a statement. “The student has not attended in-person classes for approximately one year.”

Parker had qualified for the Iowa State Wrestling Tournament in 2025 and finished in 4th place at 132 pounds in Class 2A.

The year before, he finished in sixth place, according to Sports Illustrated.
