Despite the Democratic socialist’s controversial election win putting his name on everyone’s lips, it’s regularly botched, up there with the recently robbed French museum the Louvre, according to the list by language-learning company Babbel along with the Captioning Group.

The incoming mayor’s name should be pronounced zoh-RAHN mam-DAH-nee, but is most commonly mispronounced by people swapping the “m” and “n” in his last name, according to Babbel.

That mishap even went viral on social media after Mamdani ripped his then-rival, former Gov. Andrew Cuomo, during one of their mayoral debates.

“The name is Mamdani. M-A-M-D-A-N-I,” he griped. “You should learn how to say it, because we’ve got to get it right.”

Meanwhile, the stunning heist at the Louvre Museum, which saw a gang make off with $102 million worth of jewels in October, had English speakers tripping over their words.

The correct pronunciation is LOOV-ruh, with a soft emphasis on the “ruh.”

“A lot of these words come from different languages and so we have to adapt to a sound that we’ve never made before,” said Esteban Touma, a linguistic and cultural expert at Babbel.

Other words that landed on the list included “acetaminophen” — uh-SEE-tuh-MIH-nuh-fen — the active ingredient in Tylenol that President Trump tripped over while urging pregnant women to avoid taking the painkiller.

Convicted murderer Alex Murdaugh’s last name was also slaughtered. The disgraced South Carolina lawyer’s name is pronounced AL-ick MUR-dock, rather than MUR-dugh, as many say it.

He is currently serving life for murdering his wife and son in 2021.

The weight loss drug Mounjaro — pronounced mown-JAHR-OH — also landed high on the list.
