Dallas comes in as a +3 underdog in this primetime matchup in Detroit, while Jared Goff and Co. manage multiple injuries to their roster.

Penei Sewell is nursing a shoulder injury and did not practice Tuesday, and there’s concern he will miss this game.
That key injury, along with Amon-Ra St. Brown, will force me to ignore my betting model, which has significant value on the Lions on Thursday night.
My model has a projected score of 32.35 to 24.56 in favor of the Lions, but these are two teams going in opposite directions right now.
The Lions should have lost to the Giants a few weeks ago, were badly outplayed by the Packers on Thanksgiving, and there’s really no shortage of problems to highlight for Dan Campbell’s group.
Not only are the Lions’ injuries the story, but the Cowboys are playing really solid football right now.
The return of Ceedee Lamb from injury, as well as additions on defense of Quinnen Williams and Logan Wilson, has given breath to a unit that appeared to be falling apart earlier this season.
The Cowboys are allowing 5.3 yards per play over their last three games (17th), the best they’ve played all season, compared to the 5.9 YPP they’ve allowed over the course of the whole season (28th).
This is all while they have the No. 1 offense in YPP (6.6) over the last three weeks, and that offense was always strong to begin with, tied for the second best with the Lions.
Betting on the NFL?

I am expecting an offensive fire show in this game where the Cowboys’ receivers make the Lions look silly throughout the game.
I’ll take the over 54.5 with confidence as one of my favorite bets of the week, and don’t be afraid to target player prop overs on George Pickens and Ceedee Lamb.
THE PLAY: Over 54.5 (-110, Fanatics Sportsbook)
