School bus bursts into flames moments after students were evacuated
Alarming photos show a Tennessee school bus engulfed in flames just moments after students were evacuated to safety.
The Dickson County School District bus was driving along Highway 49 East when it caught fire Wednesday afternoon, with kids still on board, the sheriff’s office told WSMV.

The quick-thinking driver immediately pulled over at a Ridge Market gas station and evacuated the children just before the bus burst into flames.
Photos of the inferno obtained by Fox 17 show the entire inside of the bus up in flames, with thick black smoke pouring from the windows.
Thankfully, no injuries were reported.
“I was the first one to get off the bus because I was scared it was going to blow up,” Asher Winters, a second-grade student at Charlotte Elementary School who was on board, told WKRN.
Penelope Winters, a first-grade student at Charlotte Elementary, boasted she “saved everyone because I told the bus driver it was happening.”
Believe Harpeth Ridge Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene and extinguished the fire. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Photos of the aftermath show the charred remains of the bus, which officials said is a total loss.
