Rep. Jasmine Crockett has $3K lien on luxury Dallas condo, ‘continues to fail and refuse’ to pay it off

WASHINGTON — Loudmouth Rep. Jasmine Crockett owes more than $3,000 on an unpaid lien against her luxury Dallas condominium, which she “continues to fail and refuse” to pay off, records show.

Crockett (D-Texas) was slapped with a claim of $3,047.79 by the Westside Condominium Association on April 11, 2024, which blocks her from selling the property until that debt is paid off, Fox News first reported.

Records show that Crockett “is in default in her obligation for payment of assessments and has failed and refused and continues to fail and refuse, despite demand upon her, to pay the Association assessments and related charges properly.”

The Texas Democrat bought the property in 2014 and the address is listed on her voter registration.

The condo complex boasts “spa-like features,” including a pool and clubhouse, and is located in a gated community, per a Homes.com description.

Crockett’s office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Congressional lawmakers enjoy an annual salary of $174,000.

Crockett’s most recent financial disclosures show her having between $15,0001 and $50,000 worth of student loan debt.

The outspoken 44-year-old has stoked buzz that she may run for the Senate next year.

“I am still thinking about running,” she told CNN’s “State of the Union” Nov. 23. “We did get our polling back. So we are moving on to the next phase to determine whether or not this would make sense in the moment.”

“To be perfectly honest, the only reason that I’m continuing to consider whether or not I do this is because my polling says I can win. That is the bottom line.”

Crockett teased that she would make a decision by Thanksgiving, though she has not publicly divulged what she will do. The filing deadline is Dec. 8.

News of Crockett’s lien comes weeks after she received scrutiny for splurging some $75,000 in campaign cash this year at posh hotels and transportation in places as varied as New York City, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Martha’s Vineyard, and Chicago.

Those expenses included $5,326.52 to the West Hollywood Edition in Los Angeles, $1,173.92 to the Times Square Edition in New York City, and $2,703.14 to the Edgartown Inn and $3,160.93 at The Coco, both in Martha’s Vineyard, according to Federal Election Commission records.

Crockett also took some $50,000 from her campaign coffers during that time for security, which she has publicly claimed is necessary due to threats she’s received.
