Amy Schumer working out ‘conscious uncoupling plan’ with husband: sources

Amy Schumer and husband Chris Fischer have “zero chance” of salvaging their marriage, a source close to them tells Page Six.

“They’ve been having issues for ages and my understanding is all they are doing now is working out conscious uncoupling plan,” alleged the source, referencing a divorce term popularized by Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin in their 2014 split statement.

The slimmed-down comic, 44, and her chef husband, 45, first sparked rumors of trouble when Schumer spent the entire summer apart from Fischer in 2023, when she went to Europe with Jerry Seinfeld and his wife, Jessica.

By the end of that summer, they had reunited on Martha’s Vineyard, Mass., and are believed to have been working on their relationship since then. However, now friends say the couple’s focus will be their beloved six-year-old son Gene.

“There is zero chance of salvaging the marriage…but Amy also wants to have the most amicable co-parenting relationship possible with Chris, so they are sorting out what will work best,” said the source.

Schumer is worth an estimated $45 million, from her hit Netflix stand-up shows and movies, but it’s not yet known if they had a prenup which would entitle Fischer to any of her money in a split.

Schumer alluded to her marriage woes on Instagram, writing on Monday, “Whatever ends up happening with me and Chris has nothing to do with weight loss or autism.”

“Fingers crossed we make it through,” she continued. “He’s the best.”

The message spurred Madonna to write back, saying, “Why do you feel like you need to apologize for looking after yourself? People are always going to have their judgments and their opinions. Do what makes you feel happy and healthy.”

Schumer is already preparing to move back to Manhattan after the couple’s son, Gene, got into a good school in the city, sources say.

She has slashed the asking price on her historic Brooklyn Heights home — made famous when it was featured in the movie “Moonstruck” — by $1.25 million. It’s currently on the market for $12.75 million.

“He got into a good school and we’re too lazy to commute 45 minutes to take our son to school every day,” Schumer told the Wall Street Journal when they first put the property up for sale in March.

Rumors of a split have swirled around Schumer and Fischer more fiercely over the last month, prompting the “I Feel Pretty star” to remind fans they were “still married” in an online post.

Reps for Schumer did not immediately return Page Six’s request for comment.

The comic has battled a series of health issues over the past few years. She underwent a hysterectomy and has been treated for Cushing Syndrome, a condition where the body has too much cortisol (the primary stress hormone).

On Monday, Schumer posted an Instagram Reel filmed by her son that began with Schumer lounging in bed, and continued with Gene sharing a peek at the family’s home. While the video itself included a tour of various rooms, Schumer added text clarifying “questions” about her weight loss journey.

She began by stating that she doesn’t get Botox or filler and, despite reports, she didn’t lose 30 lbs on weight loss drugs, she has lost 50. “Not to look hot, which does feel fun and temporary,” she wrote. “I did it to survive.”

“I had a disease that makes your face extremely puffy that can kill you, but the internet caught it, and the disease has cleared,” she wrote seemingly in reference to her Cushing diagnosis.

“Sorry for whatever feeling it’s giving you that I lost that weight,” Schumer continued. She reiterated that she’s had plastic surgery “over the years” – she has been open about having liposuction – and has been taking Mounjaro weight loss injections. “Sorry to anyone that lets down.”

But she said, she’s now “pain free” and “can [play] tag” with Gene.

She also remarked on her perimenopause, which she revealed in February 2024 that she was experiencing alongside her endometriosis diagnosis. “Happy to share if anyone has any questions about how I’m looking or feeling or where I am in my perimenopause process.”

Let’s be honest—no matter how stressful the day gets, a good viral video can instantly lift your mood. Whether it’s a funny pet doing something silly, a heartwarming moment between strangers, or a wild dance challenge, viral videos are what keep the internet fun and alive.
