Joy Behar Embarrasses Jamie Lee Curtis On ‘The View’ By Joking She “Spatchcocks Her Husband”: “Wow, I’m Actually Blushing”

Joy Behar left Jamie Lee Curtis speechless during her whirlwind interview on The View Tuesday (Dec. 2) morning.

Curtis was visiting the Hot Topics table to promote her new movie Ella McKay when she shared that she learned how to spatchcock a turkey this Thanksgiving. Behar did not seem particularly interested as Curtis went into detail about the “gross and violent” process, even going so far as to suggest, “Let’s drop this whole topic.” But Curtis and Behar’s hilarious banter did not end there.

Behar later cracked a naughty joke about Curtis and her husband, filmmaker Christopher Guest. When asking about her role as Donna Berzatto in the award-winning FX series The Bear, Behar asked if she had to “learn how to cook, besides spatchcocking.”

“You know, I am a marital cook,” Curtis responded. “I’m a maternal cook, meaning I did not learn.”

Before she could explain what she meant, Behar quipped, “She spatchcocks her husband.”

The comment left Curtis momentarily speechless as the audience laughed and applauded. “We should go on the road, babe,” Curtis commented as the applause died down. After another beat of silence, she then added, “Um, wow. I’m actually blushing and I don’t blush.”

Sunny Hostin attempted to get the interview back on track by asking Curtis if they should discuss Ella McKay.

“Thank you, Sunny,” Curtis responded.

But it seems like Curtis and Behar were able to end the interview on the right foot as Curtis later took her hand and smiled at her.

It’s always a wild ride when Curtis stops by The View. In 2024, the actress brought presents for the hosts and proclaimed she was “Scrooge’s slightly slutty sister,” prompting Behar to chime in and ask, “Slightly?”

“Hey now!” Curtis responded. “I’m an old married lady, as you know. Back in the [day], you know. But you know, I am a little Scrooge-y.”

The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.

Let’s be honest—no matter how stressful the day gets, a good viral video can instantly lift your mood. Whether it’s a funny pet doing something silly, a heartwarming moment between strangers, or a wild dance challenge, viral videos are what keep the internet fun and alive.
