Brady, 24, is a shortstop known for her defensive versatility and power at the plate.
She also played at UCLA and was a fifth-round pick by the Talons in last season’s inaugural draft when the league had four teams, and this expansion draft comes with two teams being added.

After missing the first month of the season due to a hamstring injury, Maya hit .500 over 22 at-bats.
Maya also plays professionally for the Toyota Red Terriers in the Japan Diamond Softball League.
Her uncle Tom was also drafted as a baseball player once upon a time, being selected by the Montreal Expos in the 18th round of the 1995 MLB Draft.
That pick of a relative unknown at the time wound up being iconic due to Brady’s NFL success, and has also resulted in a sought-after trading card.
Maya has shown some strong abilities, something that is perhaps taken more from her mother.
Maureen Brady, Tom’s sister-in-law, was an All-American pitcher at Fresno State.

Brady added that her family legacy is a big piece to the puzzle that motivates her during a 2024 ESPN interview.
“It’s an honor to carry on the legacy of the Brady name,” Maya said. “My family is just everything to me.”
