Kyle Richards Tells ‘Live With Kelly and Mark’ That She “Wasn’t Very Proud” Of How ‘RHOBH’ Season 14 Ended

Kyle Richards got the chance to look back on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills‘ Season 14 ending on Live with Kelly and Mark on Monday.

Ahead of RHOBH‘s Season 15 premiere on Thursday (Dec. 4), Richards joined Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos this morning, where the co-hosts noted that she “broke history” as the “longest-running housewife” for spending 15 consecutive seasons on the hit Bravo reality series.

“So you’re the OG of the OGs,” Ripa said.

“I guess so. I don’t know what that says about me then,” Richards quipped.

Ripa asked, “How does that feel?”

Richards replied, “It feels a little bit like I don’t know, how could I do this? But I’ve been hanging in there a long time. I never imagined—when I started the show, I thought I would be there a few months, making this little show where they would just follow me around with my kids in the house. I didn’t have an idea of what this was.”

After Ripa pointed out that Richards’ children “were little kids” when RHOBH debuted in 2010, Richards highlighted that her youngest daughter, Portia Umansky, “was 1, turning 2” at the time.

“Now she’s applying to colleges,” she added.

As for the upcoming installment of RHOBH, Ripa said that she was “shocked that anybody decided to come back” after Season 14 due to it ending “badly” and “sadly.” Richards agreed, telling Ripa “that’s the first time I’ve ever walked off shooting and thought I won’t come back.”

“I wasn’t very proud of that moment because the way it went down, but it was just too much and I wasn’t in the headspace,” she shared.

Although Richards admitted that she “probably shouldn’t have come back” and “was going through a very difficult time” in the aftermath of her separation from Mauricio Umansky, she said she’s “definitely a lot stronger this year.” She also teased what’s to come in Season 15.

“Oh my gosh. Well, anybody you thought were great friends are no longer,” she said. “And anybody you thought would never be friends are. So the dynamics have totally changed. And there’s a lot of drama, unfortunately, between some people—myself included—that I would never imagine this would happen with. So that part was sad and crazy, but to be expected, I guess.”

Ripa also asked how fashion designer and RHOBH newcomer Rachel Zoe is doing, to which Richards confirmed that she is “great.”

“I’ve known her for years, just socially,” she explained. “But getting to know someone in that environment is very different. But she was great.”

However, Richards teased that she thought she would get the rare chance to see Zoe “dressed down and casual” while filming, though she said that Zoe is “always dressed.”

“We were actually in the Hamptons. She came out for coffee in the morning with heels this high, and I was like oh my God. And I’m like in my Target pajamas,” she recalled. “I’m like, oh my gosh, I need to up my game!”
