Is ‘The Running Man’ 2025 Movie Streaming on Netflix or Amazon Prime Video?

Edgar Wright is taking on Stephen King in his new film, The Running Man, an adaptation of King’s 1982 novel, opening in theaters this weekend.

Directed by Wright (a stylish director known for Shaun of Dead, Scott Pilgrim, and Baby Driver, among other films), with a screenplay written by Wright and Michael Bacall, the 2025 Running Man movie takes place in a dystopian future, where the top-rated show on TV is a reality competition series where contestants, known as Runners, must survive 30 days while being hunted by professional assassins.

Glen Powell stars as a working-class man named Ben Richards, who plays the game hoping to win money to save his sick daughter. But the show’s malicious producer (Josh Brolin) isn’t going to make it easy for him. Also starring William H. Macy, Lee Pace, Michael Cera, Emilia Jones, Daniel Ezra, Jayme Lawson, and Colman Domingo, this is the second film adaption of King’s novel, following the 1987 Running Man movie starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. The new Running Man movie looks like a fun action-packed thriller to watch on the big screen, but if you’d rather wait to watch it at home, read on to learn what we know about when and where The Running Man 2025 movie will be streaming.

Where to watch the 2025 Running Man movie:

The Running Man will only be available to watch in a movie theater, when it opens in theaters in the U.S. on Friday, November 14. You can find a showing near you via Fandango. The Running Man 2025 is not yet available to watch online or on streaming.

Is The Running Man 2025 streaming on Netflix or Prime Video?

The Running Man is not streaming on Netflix or Prime Video, and likely will not be on Netflix any time soon, due to the fact that the film is a Paramount Pictures release. Almost all Paramount movies go to Paramount’s streaming platform, Paramount+, and not to Netflix.

You will be able to purchase The Running Man 2025 movie on Prime Video eventually, when the movie becomes available to buy and rent on digital, but you will not be able to stream The Running Man on Prime Video free with a Prime subscription any time soon. If you want to watch The Running Man movie at home, you’ll have to wait for the film to be available to buy or rent on digital platforms, or wait for it to stream on Paramount+.

When will The Running Man 2025 be streaming on Paramount+?

The Running Man 2025 Paramount+ streaming date has not yet been announced. Right now, the movie is only in theaters. That said, we do expect to see The Running Man streaming on Paramount+ eventually, but we’re not sure when. Another recent Paramount film, The Naked Gun, was released on digital platforms one month after opening in theaters, and began streaming on Paramount+ about two months after opening in theaters.

If The Running Man follows a similar release pattern, you might see the movie on digital around mid-December 2025, and streaming on Paramount+ around mid-January 2026.

But this is all speculation. If you want to watch The Running Man 2025 right away, you can catch the movie in theaters. In the meantime, you can stream the 1987 Running Man movie on Paramount+ and on MGM+.
