Lady Frederick Windsor brands royal family’s lives ‘total hell’

Lady Frederick Windsor claimed the members of the royal family live in “total hell.”
“The more I get to know the royal family, the more I get that their lives are total hell and that level of unasked-for fame is a form of torture,” the British actress, born Sophie Winkleman, told the Times in an interview published Wednesday.

“None of them went on [the British music competition television series] ‘Pop Idol’ or something to be famous,” she added.
“To have that sort of blinding spotlight in your face from when you’re born, not knowing quite whom you can trust, not knowing if someone’s going to betray you, people writing lies about you the whole time, is just brutal.”
Lady Frederick Windsor — who married Lord Frederick Windsor, the son of Prince Michael of Kent, who is King Charles III’s second cousin, in 2009 — said she “feel[s]” for all of the royal family.
“I don’t think a life with that much scrutiny and pressure is remotely healthy, but they have no choice,” she shared.
In another part of the interview, Lady Frederick Windsor, 45, talked about her nuptials, saying that she “didn’t know anyone” there.
“I had my best pals there, but basically it was full of faces I’d never seen before,” the “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” actress confessed.
Page Six has reached out to Buckingham Palace for comment but did not immediately hear back.
Lady Frederick Windsor, who shares daughters Maud, 12, and Isabella, 9, with her husband, 46, previously spoke out about how her wedding day was a “blur.”
“We had to move to Los Angeles the day after, and I had to start a brand-new job the day after that,” she recalled in a May interview with the Telegraph.
“So, we got married on Saturday and moved everything, our whole lives, out to America the day after. And I’d been so concentrating on the work that I hadn’t thought about the wedding,” the actress added.
Despite all of the mayhem, Lady Frederick Windsor said she has no regret about marrying into a famous brood.
“Family isn’t always brilliant, but this lot are very sweet,” she shared, adding, “I love all of them.”
