Kai Trump shares advice from grandpa Donald — and mom’s boyfriend Tiger Woods — ahead of pro golf debut

Donald Trump’s granddaughter Kai Trump revealed the light-hearted advice she received from the US president ahead of her professional golf debut.
The 18-year-old shared that the politician urged her to “have fun” when she steps out to play in The Annika tournament with the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) at the Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Fla., this week.

“Go out there and have fun. Just don’t get nervous,” she recalled Donald telling her, per Fox News.
Kai, a high school senior, also revealed that professional golfer Tiger Woods — who is dating her mom, Vanessa Trump — gave her some expert advice.
“He told me to go out there and have fun and just go with the flow. Whatever happens, happens,” she shared.
The teenager also gushed that the athlete was the “best golfer in the entire world,” adding, “I would say that. And an even better person.”
Woods, 49, and Vanessa, 47, started dating in November 2024, about six years after the latter finalized her divorce from Donald Trump Jr.
Kai, meanwhile, told reporters earlier this week that she was merely looking forward to getting her feet wet and learning from the tournament.
“I think I’m going to learn a lot no matter what happens,” she said, per AP News. “I’m just going to go out there and have fun and see which way it goes.”
“I’m going to take a lot away from it,” the young athlete added, explaining she was looking forward to “competing with the best players” and “be[ing] inside the ropes with them.”
Over the years, Kai has practiced golf alongside her grandfather, 79, who has called her “fantastic.”
“She’s doing really well and she wins a lot of matches,” he told reporters in April.
“Some day she’ll be able to beat her grandfather, but I’m not sure when that’ll be. It might be a long time,” the 47th president quipped.
The duo was most recently photographed together at the Ryder Cup in Farmingdale, NY, last month.
Following high school graduation, Kai will attend the University of Miami, where she has already committed to playing golf.
