Ariana Madix shows off dramatic brunette hair transformation during ‘DWTS’ return for 20th anniversary

Ariana Madix returned to “Dancing with the Stars” on Tuesday night, looking nearly unrecognizable.

Traditionally sporting her signature blonde hair, Madix, 40, befuddled viewers when she appeared at the show with brunette locks cascading down her back.

Wearing an embellished bra top, white silk pants, and an open-front shirt set, her more understated makeup matched the new laid-back hairstyle she debuted.

Madix returned to the reality show to celebrate its 20^th anniversary; she appeared in season 32 and placed third overall in the dance competition.

The anniversary episode opened with current pros, dancing alongside six of the show’s original dancers in a piece choreographed by Derek Hough, with former co-host Tom Bergeron returning as a guest judge for the evening.

Madix shared a few clips from the evening on her Instagram stories, captioned, “@dancingwiththestars changed my life. i am so proud and honored to have my name listed as just a small part of this incredible magical show.”

She also shared images with fellow “DWTS” alums Chandler Kinney and Kaitlyn Bristowe, “Bachelor” winner Kelsey Anderson, plus took a sweet selfie with her “DWTS” partner, Pasha Pashkov.

Madix was asked by “Good Morning America” what her favorite moment on the show was, looking back, to which she shared, “I think when me and Pasha got our perfect score. That’s really, really hard to beat. I think he’s the most underrated pro, and to see him get his flowers in that moment … I feel like he deserves it so much.”
