News of the dinner, which is being seen as an attempt by Trump to drum up support for his economic agenda from Americaās top business leaders, was first reported by CBS News.

The presidentās public schedule shows that a dinner will take place in the White Houseās state dining room at 7:30 p.m. ET.
The Post has approached the White House for comment.
It comes after increased scrutiny of this administrationās handling of economic issues and consumer costs, after hard-left Democratic Socialist Zohran Mamdani won the New York mayoral race by focusing on the spiralling cost of living in the Big Apple.
The real estate mogul won backing from corporate America during his 2024 campaign by pledging to slash taxes and red tape, although his move to slap hefty tariffs on imported goods has disrupted Uncle Samās trade flows and disrupted markets worldwide.
JPMorganās Dimon also warned Trump of the dangers of undermining Fed Reserve chair Jerome Powell, who came under fire after The Post broke the news of his $2.5 billion renovation of the central bankās downtown DC HQ, prompting uproar among Republicans in Congress.
This newspaper also exclusively reported that the Trump campaignās top staff had used the 69-year-old veteran chief executive as a āsounding boardā for shaping their economic policies before the presidentās crushing electoral win over Kamala Harris in November last year.

Trump and Dimon met for the first time in years when they held talks at the Oval Office in July to discuss economic and regulatory policies.
In September, the president hosted a similar dinner for technology leaders, including Metaās Mark Zuckerberg and Appleās Tim Cook, where the corporate titan committed to expanding domestic investments, especially in artificial intelligence, an area prioritized by the administration.
