The “Smallville” alum, 43, will share her shocking career change in the seven-episode series, Variety reported on Monday.
The outlet did not provide further insight into the former actress’s move to social work but did mention her recent marriage to her husband, Frank.
The duo, as previously reported, tied the knot in June 2025 in a Los Angeles ceremony, six months after meeting at a dog park.
The podcast premiered on Monday with two episodes, neither of which covered her marriage or master’s degree.
Instead, the project began with Mack outlining her June 2021 sentencing, during which she was sentenced to three years behind bars for acting as a sex-cult recruiter for leader Keith Rainiere.
This happened two years after the “Wilfred” alum pleaded guilty to racketeering and racketeering conspiracy charges.
She would go on to serve 21 months before being released early in June 2023.
Mack broke down in the episode as she recounted her family members accompanying her to the courtroom for her sentencing.
“Oh, my God, my poor brother behind me, having to hear this about his sister,” she recalled while crying. “My poor mom! I’m so sorry, you guys. I can take it, but like f–k, you guys, I’m so sorry. I don’t see myself as innocent, and they were.”
The rest of the premiere episode covered Mack’s childhood, her acting career, a yearslong abusive relationship — and, finally, her introduction to Nxivm through co-star Kristin Kreuk in 2006.
In the second installment, Mack documented her move from Brooklyn to the cult’s Albany, N.Y., headquarters to “immerse herself in Raniere’s teachings.”
Raniere, notably, is currently serving the 120 years of prison time he was sentenced to in 2020.
The rest of the podcast series will attempt to break down whether Mack “is a victim or someone who victimized others,” said host Natalie Robehmed.
Brooklyn federal court Judge Nicholas Garaufis similarly told Mack during her sentencing that she was both “manipulated” while also feeling “captive” by Rainier.
“In the language of [the cult], you were a slave as well as a master,” he said. “It is hard to determine an appropriate sentence for a perpetrator who is also her co-conspirator’s victim.”
Mack, notably, has rarely spoken about Nxivm since her 2018 arrest for brainwashing women into becoming sex slaves for Raniere.
She did, however, mention on “Infamous: Inside America’s Biggest Scandals” in 2022 that she joined the cult because she felt like “a fraud” and wanted to be a “great actress again.”
She explained, “I moved to Albany to fill that emptiness and find the soul of myself again, if that makes sense, as it had fizzled.”
