Carnegie Diner owner expanding to Chambers Street

Carnegie Hospitality, the company behind Carnegie Diner and Delos at 1185 Sixth Ave., is growing elsewhere as well.

It signed a lease for 8,450 square feet to house both restaurants at 200 Chambers St., where it will occupy the Tribeca building’s entire West Street blockfront between Chambers and Warren streets — Carnegie’s first venture downtown.

The landlord is Jack Resnick & Sons, which developed the luxury condo tower in 2007, sold all 258 apartments and continues to the Chamber Street, and continues to own the retail space.

The restaurants are expected to open next summer at the location that was previously a Palm steakhouse branch. Carnegie Hospitality also has its eye on opening other venues in Manhattan and Brooklyn in 2026.

“We are glad to bring Carnegie’s quintessentially New York taste and style to Tribeca,” said landlord president Jonathan Resnick.

Newmark’s Jeffrey Roseman repped the tenant and Resnick was repped in-house by Brett Greenberg and Fran Delgorio.

The news comes on the heels of Carnegie Diner’s opening last week at the Martinique New York Hotel at 49 W. 32nd St. The two-level venue, the brand’s first hotel partnership, has 4,500 square feet with room for 242 guests.
