‘WWHL’: Brittany Snow Begged To Be On ‘Top Chef’ For 20 Years Before They Finally Asked Her To Guest Judge

Brittany Snow has starred in hits like The Hunting Wives, John Tucker Must Die, and Pitch Perfect, but nothing was bigger to her than the time she was asked to be a guest judge on Top Chef.

While appearing alongside Dakota Fanning on Thursday night’s (Nov. 6) episode of Watch What Happens Live, Snow revealed that she spent years “begging” to guest judge on the long-running culinary competition series before she was finally tapped for the gig in Season 21.

“I’ve seen every single episode,” she told host Andy Cohen. “I’ve been begging to get on the show for, like, 20 years and they said no for a long time, and then they finally let me on.”

Snow—who appeared in Season 21, Episode 7 of Top Chef—shared that she got so nervous when it was her time to talk that they had to do a second take.

“The first time they came to me and it was my time to shine and I actually had to say something, I got so nervous that I blacked out and I said, ‘I like that the meal is in sections,’” she recalled. “And they said in my ear, ‘Brittany, do you want to take that again?’ And I said, ‘Absolutely!’”

“What you see in the show is not me saying, I like that it’s in sections, because that’s insane,” Snow added.

The actress’s episode aired in May 2024, and took place at American Family Field in Milwaukee. Alongside other guest judges like former Brewers player Ryan Braun, Snow judged a slew of sausage-centric dishes, hence the episode’s title, “Sausage Race.”

Despite her initial snafu, Snow said the experience was “everything” to her.

Watch What Happens Live airs Sunday through Thursday at 10 p.m. ET on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
