Ex-Falcons star Jamal Anderson arrested on suspicion of domestic violence
Former Falcons running back Jamal Anderson was arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of felony domestic violence at his home in Los Angeles.
Police told NBC LA that they responded to the San Fernando Valley home around 11 a.m. for an alleged dispute and officers determined that a verbal altercation turned into a physical one in which Anderson allegedly strangled the victim.

Medics were called to the scene, but the victim declined treatment, NBC LA reported.

Anderson was arrested and taken to jail on suspicion of felony domestic violence.
Jail records viewed by The Post indicated that Anderson was booked into jail at 1:55 p.m. and bond was set at $50,000, which he paid and was released.
Anderson’s next court date is scheduled for Dec. 3 at 8:30 a.m., according to online records.
Anderson was known for his time in the NFL in the 90s, spending all eight seasons in the league with the Falcons.
He rushed for 5,336 yards and 34 touchdowns in 88 career games — 64 of which were starts for the Falcons.
Anderson’s best season was in 1998, when he rushed for 1,846 yards and 14 touchdowns, and capped that season off by appearing in the Super Bowl when the Falcons lost to the John Elway-led Broncos.
He was known for his end zone dance, which was dubbed the “dirty bird.”
Anderson was drafted in the seventh round of the 1994 NFL Draft and retired in 2001 because of a knee injury.
Wednesday was not Anderson’s first brush with the law.
Anderson had been arrested on suspicion of cocaine possession in 2009 at a nightclub and on drunk driving charges in 2012.
He was also arrested in 2018 for refusing to pay a limo driver and Anderson was banned from a Georgia store after he allegedly exposed himself while appearing to be intoxicated.
