How To Watch ‘9-1-1’ Without YouTube TV

9-1-1 Season 9’s intense four-episode opening emergency came to an end last week with an emotional conclusion to Athena (Angela Bassett) and Hen’s (Aisha Hinds) trip to space. While fans enjoyed the wild ride, they’re also excited to get back to regularly scheduled 9-1-1 programming — especially since this week’s episode is holiday-themed! There’s just one problem: Disney’s tense negotiations with YouTube could get in the way of some viewers tuning in if they typically watch using YouTube TV

Per ABC, the official synopsis for 9-1-1 Season 9, Episode 4, “Día de los Muertos” is as follows: “The 118’s beliefs are put to the test as they respond to emergency calls involving a Jack-o’-lantern and a few more jump scares than they were expecting on Halloween.” Fans know that 9-1-1 nails spooky season installments, so you won’t want to miss this.

Disney has yet to reach an agreement with YouTube regarding streaming rights on YouTube TV for its properties, which include ABC, the official network of 9-1-1 and spinoff series 9-1-1: Nashville. ABC is even urging fans to help speed the negotiations along by contacting YouTube to “let them know you want your favorite networks back.”

While you won’t be able to stream tonight’s episodes of 9-1-1 or 9-1-1: Nashville using YouTube TV, there are thankfully other ways to watch. Here’s everything to know about how to watch 9-1-1 without YouTube TV.

How To Watch 9-1-1 Without YouTube TV:

New episodes of 9-1-1 air Thursdays at 8:00 p.m. ET on ABC. If you have a cable subscription that includes ABC, you can tune in live by setting your TV to the proper channel a few minutes before the episode airs. You can also use your cable username and password to watch ABC episodes live on ABC.com or with the ABC app. And if your cable package includes a DVR, you can always record the episode for later viewing.

No cable? No worries! There are other live viewing options, like live TV skinny bundles, which give you access to networks without cable. Check out fuboTV, Hulu + Live TV, DIRECTV, or Sling TV. (FuboTV, DIRECTV, and Hulu + Live TV offer free trials for new subscribers.)

How To Watch 9-1-1 On Hulu:

You can also stream new episodes of 9-1-1 Season 9 on Hulu, the day after they air on ABC.

If you’re new to Hulu, you can get started with a 30-day free trial on the streamer’s basic (with ads) plan. After the trial period, you’ll pay $10.99/month. If you want to upgrade to Hulu ad-free, it costs $18.99/month.

If you want to stream even more and save a few bucks a month while you’re at it, we recommend subscribing to one of the Disney+ Bundles, all of which include Hulu. These bundles start at $12.99/month for ad-supported Disney+ and Hulu and goes up to $32.99/month for Disney+, Hulu, and Max, all ad-free.
