Charlie Kirk’s daughter asks for ‘daddy’ months after his murder, Erika Kirk says

Charlie Kirk’s widow Erika Kirk heartbreakingly revealed her young daughter still asks where her “daddy” is nearly two months after his assassination.
But the mother of two has turned the painful questions from her 3-year-old into a touching teaching moment, she told Fox News’ Jesse Watters in an emotional TV interview — her first since her husband was killed.

“It’s really sweet because I keep explaining to her a few things and I said ‘if you ever want to talk to daddy you just look up to the sky and start talking and he can hear you,” she said.
“I told her, ‘you know, daddy is in heaven’ — and she goes ‘do you think I could go sometime?’” she continued through tears.
“I said ‘baby, we will all go one day.’”
Charlie and Erika Kirk had two children together, a son who turned 1 in May and a daughter who turned 3 in August.
Kirk, the 31-year-old conservative activist and founder of Turning Point USA, was shot dead by a single bullet to the neck by alleged gunman Tyler Robinson while speaking at an event at Utah Valley University on Sept. 10.
Watters told Fox & Friends hosts Wednesday morning that Erika Kirk believed at one point that her husband would survive — but reality set in when she saw him at the hospital.
In the interview, Erika Kirk recalled a “smirk” on her slain husband’s face — which helped assure her that Charlie did not suffer, she said at her husband’s heavily attended funeral.
“We walked into that room and he had this smirk on this face,” she said. “That smirk to me is that look of ‘you thought you stopped what I’ve built. You thought you could end this vision, this movement, this revival. You thought you could do that by murdering me.
“You got my body, but you didn’t get my soul.”
The assassination, which was caught on camera from various angles and widely shared on social media, sent shockwaves throughout the country amid rising concerns about political violence.
Robinson, 22, was arrested days later after a frantic manhunt, and charged with aggravated murder and related crimes.
He could face the death penalty by firing squad if convicted.
Watters’ full interview with Kirk will air tonight at 8 p.m. on Jesse Watters Primetime.
“I almost started crying a few times when she talked about her children,” he shared. “You can feel the spirit of Charlie Kirk in Erika, and it’s just a real power.”
