A man in Florida was arrested on a DUI charge after failing a sobriety test — while dressed up as a prison inmate for a Halloween party over the weekend.

Jimmie Glover, 18, was cruising through Port St. Lucie, Fla. on Oct. 31 when officers with the local police department pulled him over shortly before 6 a.m.

A Florida man charged with a DUI was dressed up as a prison inmate for a Halloween party when he was pulled over. Port St. Lucie Police Dept.

The officers had Glover complete a sobriety test in a nearby parking lot, but struggled to look past the irony when he exited his vehicle wearing bright orange jumpsuit pants and a white tank top.

They had Glover walk along a white parking spot line to test if he had been drinking that night, according to a body camera video shared by the Port St. Lucie Police Department.

Glover passed the first part with ease, but staggered when he turned back around on his heel, according to the video.

The 18-year-old was taken into police custody and remanded on a standard DUI charge, plus an extra one for refusal to submit to DUI testing, according to the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office.

“Locked Up, inmate Halloween costume was already dressed for arrest!” the police department joked on Facebook.

“We would rather get dispatched because your Halloween decorations are just that good…not for DUI’s. Celebrate responsibly!”

Police joked that Glover “was already dressed for the arrest.” Port St. Lucie Police Dept.

“Anyone dressed up as a cop should pull a shift with us….rookies start midnight shift at 10 pm…just kidding, enjoy the holiday PSL!” the department cheekily added.

Glover was held on a $1,500 bond and released 10 hours after his early morning arrest, according to the sheriff’s office.
