The Prince and Princess of Wales, both 43, had food and drinks at the members-only club for residents and employees of the Crown Estate, which manages much of the property there, to thank the builders and staff for getting their home completed ahead of schedule.

Middleton and William were initially supposed to settle into their new residence by Christmas, but the construction was finished earlier than planned.

Page Six has reached out to Kensington Palace for comment but did not immediately hear back.

A source told the US Sun that the family chose to relocate to put Middleton’s March 2024 cancer diagnosis behind them.

“Moving gives them an opportunity for a fresh start and a new chapter; an opportunity to leave some of the more unhappy memories behind,” a source told the Sun of the mom of three, who has since gone into remission.

The Mirror reported that the Waleses had new trees and hedgerows planted around the eight-bedroom property, which is valued at $21 million, as well as erecting fences to shield them from public view.

The future king and his wife reportedly covered the renovation expenses on their own to avoid an increase in cost to taxpayers.
