Sick LI dad repeatedly raped 12-year-old daughter

A depraved sicko repeatedly raped his 12-year-old daughter after she moved into his Long Island home, a Suffolk County jury has found.

The unnamed man, 48, from Wyandanch was found guilty Thursday of the horrific acts, which began when the child was 12 and continued until she was 14 — when she emotionally confided in a friend and teacher at her school on what was taking place at home.

County District Attorney Ray Tierney said in a press release that the child’s nightmare began after her father gained custody of her from an out-of-state relative, who was her guardian at the time and no longer in a condition to care for her.

Her father started grooming and sexually abusing the child, framing his depraved actions as “doing something to help her,” according to the DA — who said the abuse then escalated to disturbingly unimaginable levels before she turned to those she trusted.

“This 12-year-old victim was betrayed and violated by the very person who was supposed to protect her – her father,” Tierney said.

“The victim will have to live with the scars of this for the rest of her life, but I am thankful we were able to hold her father accountable for the unimaginable abuse that he inflicted upon her.”

The twisted dad, whose name was not released to protect the identity of his abused child, was found guilty of of multiple counts of rape and other violent sexual crimes against a minor, as well as endangering the welfare of a child.

He faces up to 50 years in prison and is due back in court Dec. 3 for sentencing.
